Day 3--July 30th

On this day we will visit the sacred grounds of Far West and Adam-Ondi-Ahman. Far West looks nothing like it did in the 1800's, but while here, we will have a devotional that will open our eyes and help us see that this small city used to be a haven for the Saints.  At Adam-Ondi-Ahman, we will envision a place where Adam and Eve once dwelt as well as better understand this place as a gathering place for the Saints at a future day.  We will then drive to Nauvoo and enjoy a BBQ along the beautiful Mississippi River. We will then check into our hotel and then head down to the British Nauvoo Pagaent.

Day 5--August 1st

Today we will head to Carthage Jail for an amazing, yet sobering experience as we reflect on the Martyrdom of Joseph and Hyrum Smith (D&C 135). Then we will drive over to the Pioneer Cemetery and have a devotional. After a lovely lunch in the park you will have the afternoon to tour any remaining sites in Nauvoo that you would like to see before we head out of town for Nebraska.
