Announcing our 2019 Zion & Nauvoo Tour!

I wanted to announce our new trip for this coming summer. We will be leaving July 28th and returning August 3rd.  This tour begins and ends in Colorado Springs.  Our elite 56 passenger bus will take us first through the city of Zion which is located in Independence, Missouri.  Here we tour through both The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saint's visitor center as well as the Community of Christ temple and visitor center where we will better understand the vision of Zion as well as the hardships the Saints faced.

For the few days we are in Missouri, we will also tour the Liberty Jail where sections 121-123 were penned by Joseph to the hurting Saints back in Independence and other locations.  From here we spend time in Far West and Adam-Ondi-Ahman.  If you've read the Saints book, you know how critical these two locations are.  These are must stops along our tour.

 

The "City of Joseph" or Nauvoo will be our next stop where we will spend multiple days touring the historical sites and temple.  Each night there we will also be blessed to view the 2-Pageants Nauvoo puts on.  One tells the story of Nauvoo and the other tells the story of the British missions and the emigrating Saints to America.  

 

We follow the footsteps of the Saints and head West to Winter Quarters where we will experience the trials and difficulties the Saints went through as they were being expelled from Illinois and sought safety in the Indian Territory.  

 

This is a memorable trip that will strengthen one's testimony of the restoration, Joseph Smith as a prophet, seer, and revelator and most importantly, of the Savior as our Lord and Redeemer.
